A musician and an experimenter since a young age, Long Island, New York's Madison Elle Beer started posting videos of herself singing cover versions of well-known songs as a 13-year-old in 2012. Within a couple of months, pop idol Justin Bieber came across her rendition of Etta James' "At Last" and shared it with his 25-million-plus Twitter followers. The resulting media coverage led her to sign a recording contract with Island Records and a management deal with Bieber's management the following year. Beer was also offered a minor role in Louder Than Words, starring David Duchovny, and it premiered at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. The debut single she released"Melodies," a melismatic and poppy track "Melodies," also saw its release later in the year.Beer's vocals were first heard on other artists' songs like Cody Simpson's "Valentine" and 2015's club track "I I'm Not letting You walk away" by Mako. In 2018 she released her solo debut EP, "As She Pleases". "Home with You" reached the Top 30 in Norway while the EP topped half of the Billboard 200. Beer also released the single "Hurts Like Hell", with Offset that same year.
